Default Wallkill River National Wildlife Refuge

My daughter and I grab our kayaks and headed out for a few hours on the Wallkill River at the National Wildlife Refuge. I didn't bring any fishing gear so no fishing was done but we did see a few nice size fish in the river. A couple of bass, pickerel, lots of bait fish and what I believe was a large carp jump completely out of the water. Has anyone ever fished the river? Just wondering if it is worth another trip or not.

It was a great day on the river if anyone is looking to just canoe or kayak. We saw a pair of bald eagles that seemed to follow us down the river. They flew ahead of us landed in a tree, waited for us to get to them then repeated for about 30 minutes.
