I had one jump out about 3 feet away from me and got a real good look at it and they were definitely bonita. Looked like little torpedos speeding by. Tried taking my weight off and tossing a spearing out in free spool, but no takers. Also saw a sea turtle swim down the inlet which was a first for me. All in all a beautiful day to be fishing and plenty of action as I also missed probly as many bited as I caught. Lots of other guys caught too but all were similar peewee size fish.

It’s funny. After getting off the boat, I drove over to the inlet. I parked in the lot and observed a guy pulling in tiny fluke, one after another. It was probably you!
In any case, what you witnessed was really cool. The bonito are in early this year.
