Surf/Bay Report (Asbury Park, Shark River) 5/26/19
Hit the surf last Sunday with a buddy, looking for his first striper. Found some pre Memorial Day action.
Used clams in the surf early morning. Got a few bites and one bass made it to the sand. A fat 24".
After that we hit the Shark River for some bluefish action. Didn't find any bluefish but the fluke were happy to cooperate. First fish was keeper, followed by two 17" 3/4 shorts and many more shorts after that. Bunker strips (meant for blues) we're doing the damage.
Great way to open the fluke season!
Get out there and catch em up!
