Found this : "Rock Snot is beyond bad above Barryville NY ,not looking good !!!!" My guide even told me that it looks like a bad year for Didymo.
Be fore warned heading out fishing the Big D for shad etc, looks like a tough spring is upon us. Fishermen are reporting all kinds of stuff in the water, it was bad when we were up on the West Branch also.
