Default First wild brook trout

Nick and I were able to hook and land out first wild brook trout today.
With some simple research, we found a stream that exclusively supports brook trout.
One of the tinier streams the two of us combined have fished, but we were able to locate some nice holes and even spot where trout were rising for flies.
They seem to be a bit more difficult to catch than the average wild brown, and less aggressive.
While we had some hit and nibble at the jigs with 1 inch grubs, the few brookies we hooked came on very tiny 1/80th oz jigs with some black marabou.

After we checked out another wild trout stream for less than half an hour, where Nick scored a brownie and both of us a few chubs.

Im glad both of us were able to scratch off brookies from our bucket list. Personally happy I finally got one after so long!
