I recall many times running out of bait, and using pieces of shell, legs, a smashed claw, etc, and still getting several nice fish, but its been a while for me personally being on that kind of blackfish bite.. Hopefully, a LOT of snags and rockpiles are loaded up this year.. We'll find out soon enough.... bob
