Took two trips recently to get my stockie fix. Both were somewhat close to home streams I haven't fished yet. First trip was Sunday since the m&g was cancelled.
Thanks again for setting it up, hope to make the next one!! Had it to myself for the first hour or so but saw a few other anglers out. Caught 2 decent bows there. One was pretty thick and colorful.
Today I fished a different fall stocked stream with slightly better results.Fished a decent stretch of really nice water with no action for a while, then I got whacked!! Fish porpoised as soon as I hooked it so I knew it was big!! After one drag ripping run it just kinda flopped the rest of the way in. Didn't tape it but im thinking 22-23" and super FAT!! Could barely get my hand around em!!
That was just the start cause the next few spots I went 6 for 8 hooked and had a few other strikes that never hooked up. Definitely scratched the itch, for now........
