We had a bit of wind to contend with today, but everyone fished hard and we got it done. The porgies chewed right from the first drop, making for a boat limit of jumbo scup. The weather kept us from going to our usual sea bass grounds, but we still caught them in one of our backup spots. We are heading back out to Montauk for more bottom fishing action at 7am tomorrow.
There is still space available for Friday's After Work Special (4pm) trip for striped bass and bluefish. The latest reports on the bluefish are very good and there are lots of blues in the Race, Plum Gut and the surrounding areas. It seems that the last few storms have pushed the fish in. We will be fishing the weekend for bass and blues on Saturday and Sunday at 6am and 1pm, as well.
