Help with disability access
I had to retire at 55 and I am now only 64. I have a severe fatigue and balance disability. Wherever I go I have to drive right up to the water's edge. I have to forget about kayaks or one man boats. I lived in Central Jersey and I fished the North Jersey streams when I was young (Raritan, Musconetcong, Big Flatbrook, etc.) & healthy. Now I'm around Ft. Dix area and I don't mind fishing for Bass and Pickerel but again accessibility is the problem. There is a nice reservoir in Vincentown, called Vincentown Mill Pond Reservoir. A really nice lake in South Jersey and a small town to boot. Sounds almost ideal, right? Well just try and get to the water if you have any difficulty walking! It just seems that where I am now, I am having a lot of trouble getting to some accessible water.
One thing I miss is Smallmouth fishing, but they like somewhat cooler water than down South. And don't even talk to me about the Delaware or the NJ State accessibility charts that go back to 2006! I really don't care if I catch anything, although I do miss it. I heard Union Lake in Cumberland County is supposed to be pretty good, but even from Ft. Dix it's not exactly around the corner for me. I'm open to suggestions. I am also either home or at my doctor's, so I have lots of opportunities to partner up. Thanks in advance.
