Seems to be 2 camps here... Those who tip and those who don't and people are pretty opinionated on either side of this argument.
On our boat we're big tippers
It seems that at least when we're in the bay tipping makes a big difference. You tip with a spearing you get more hits and once the spearing is gone you might as well be home on the couch.
The other side of the argument I've heard is that it attracts all sorts of undesirables and gulp only produces better quality fish.
What say you??
