S. Branch P.B Bronze Back
Fishing an hour or so before sunset on the S. Branch somewhere. Brought a bucket of shiners with me. Hooked up with a big fighter who had weight but lost em. Then I hook up with in seconds of the shiner landing where I wanted it to... Bang! I was on and fought the smally pictured below on trout tackle for over five minutes as it took me down river on numerous runs. Finally got it close and was shocked it was a smally. I was able to net it finally, take a few pictures put her back and watch my personal best swim away. Walked down river after about 50 yards only to hook up again with another fish with weight. Again another beast fight lasting 5 mins or so only to lose another big small mouth on the fourth time it went airborne on me. Wish I was able to land that fish.
Surprised to find a few real nice bronze backs basically In the same spot.
