It's been a rough Spring so far with work and less than exceptional weather. Made it out twice to the local park pond recently to harass the stockies. Got em on spinners and plugs, nothing noteworthy. They do seem to be more colorful though.
Last week, I got my boat wet for the first time this year. Hit a brand new lake I scouted over the winter. Fished mid day and the temps were in the fifties, water was 43*. Picked up 2 larrys in a couple hours. Bigger of the 2 hit a spinnerbait and taped out to a hair under 19" and very well fed.
Today I did the shed thing and ended up with identical results, except for species.

Got 2 smallies the biggest taping out to exactly 19" and and football fat. Temps were in the sixties and the water went from 48* to 52* over the course of the day. Beautiful day to be out, wish they were a little more cooperative. Can only get better with the warming trend the next few days........ 👍
