Lightbulb Lehigh river float trip:

Currently playing phone tag with a guide on the Lehigh river trying to nail down a date in April. The releases are wacky to say the least, still having a hard time trying to figure out what the Army Corps of Engineers is up to, guess it's no worse than the crazy water releases on the upper Delaware river.
Looking to hit that Lehigh gorge, looks amazing, 25 miles of river and ONLY 2 access points. Stocked heavily by the state and private clubs, looks like hold over fish also. Town of Jim Thorpe on 90 minute drive from my home.
Bought a PA. non-resident license last year and never fished PA., determined this year. Anyone have any info, might have to drive soon and get to know the area better. Is it open year round to fishing ?
