Default perch,crappie and slim darts

fished saturday up the lake.got to first spot at 7:30am.i started with the jig & bobber.about 15 minutes in i get a hit and set the hook,a nice crappie.let it go and started casting again with nothing for the next 45 minutes.i pick up and head to the north side of the lake.got set up and start casting around 9am.1st cast a nice big yellow perch and it stayed that way until i left at 11:30 because of the rain.kept 12 nice yellows and a few crappies for the table and the rest were set free.would have been easy limits but i only wanted enough for a good meal with the family.the slimers are all over and some big ones.released a few that were at the 24" mark plus some of the 12-14" darts. caught fish on the small husky jerks but most being caught in the mini-mite and bobber.lite colors were the ticket.sundy not so much.waited for the rain to clear out and started around 1pm.fished all the spots from the day before with only a very slow pick.
i switched to throwing the bigger swimmers and caught some nice darts.all and all it was great february open water fishing.
