Default rainy day ice action at the state park

i hit the state park today and there was alot of people out there getting some ice time before the rains hit. there was also a lake plunge event at the beach today. i don't think that is for me, i try not to get into the water this time of year thank you. however i hope a good time was had by all and everybody made it out safe. i was fishing by the new development there and only caught 1 small perch on a rippin rap then decided to go out by bed bug island and got 1 small slime dart, 4 perch two of them were over 12" and 4 sunnies. i got the sunnies on a marmooska jig tipped with a meal worm. i got the fish in 4 to 8 fow. the fish were picky today they would come up off the bottom and look at the offering and then go right back down to the bottom. tuff bite today but i still had a good time. no doubt the ice is going to take a hit with this weather lets hope for the best. this time of year we will most likely not be gaining ice with the longer daylight and warmer temps in the forecast
