While everyone in NJ was out on the ice this weekend, I was stuck at work with a broken sewer pipe. Chomped at the bit while seeing the reports pour in. Penciled in monday and tuesday to get out there. Felt nice to walk on water again

Monday I met up with the boys in search of big Esox. Got a front row seat for Mikey's 41" and managed a slower mixed bag of Bass, Whities and Crappie.
Tuesday met up with a buddy to try something new. Got on a new-to-me lake around 7:30 am and drilled a bunch of holes until we found life. Got the usual Snot Rocket assortment on bait and managed my first NJ Landlocked Salmon. I've got to say, these things put up an awesome fight on the light action jigging rod, wow. Hoping this is just the first of many successful ice trips in 2018!
