12/24/2017 I caught and released 20 white perch to 9" and 4 yellow perch to 8" with Dick's Sporting Goods red worms on a 1/32 oz tube jig and 2 lb test line in Carnegie Lake. Caught 2,535 fish in 233 NJ fresh water fishing trips this year and 86 fish in 40 trips to Manasquan Inlet, NJ, in salt water. I won't go fishing until after the second thaw for this season which may not occur until March 2018. I won 2 NJ Skillful Angler Recognition Awards for catch and release fresh water fish. I tagged and released 78 salt water fish and 2 blues were recaptured. It was a very good year.
