You're more of a jerkbait guy, judging from your previous post? I dont use em as much as jigs myself, despite buying like a bunch of micro sized floating rapalas that I should put to more use. I fish em just like a jerkbait sometimes, just that they work vertically a bit more than side to side. I dont think the trout I caught really cared however, they just wanted some pink!
