I got the Cuda's, bit on the pricey side, don't try to cut a hook with them but no problems with. Mono or braid and they have a blunt nose with plent of torque to get the hook out. I got mine at the Reel Seat in Brielle and he carries the replacement carbide cutting points,if your like me, and try to cut a wire hook out of your thumb

and they shatter(use dikes for that!) otherwise great pliers!! The needle nose seem to tweek too much to get the balls in to remove some jawbone hooked fishes, just my $.02
