I've never caught a walleye before, and by the looks of you have a keitech on a jighead? Do they primarily bite at night? Are they present in north nj lakes as well as rivers? Sorry for all the questions, I want to catch one of these and by the looks of it you know what they like.

Check NJ fish and wildlife page to find watersheds near you that are stocked/hold walleye. Not sure where you're from. Their feeding patterns change rather dramatically throughout the season too. Low light/nighttime predators mostly but are caught during brighter days at times. Research, time and pointers from sharpies over the years has certainly helped.
