Got the call from MikeyTopaz that Lakers were in the agenda for the weekend and to meet him and fellow SHARPIE Redi at The Sporting Life on Rt. 22 at 630am Saturday morning. Though I would have loved to jump in the boat with these two dudes fresh off their Hybrid Tournament beat down, I had afternoon obligations and opted to bring my boat as well. Being that the only time I've targeted Lakers was through the ice a few years ago, the boys gave me the 411 on what, where and how before heading to a beautiful body of water in the middle of nowhere

Got to trolling and managed a pair of nice Lakers, 19.5" and 22" from the deep waters. Pretty strong fights from these good looking fish. Due to a stiff breeze, I got separated from the boys but heard a couple real monsters were caught and released on their vessel. I called it around noon, happy to scratch a new species off the list.
