Thanks for the info. One of the things I'm hoping the pivot hook design improves for me is situations where the fish is striking rather than eating (usually when the frog first hits the water or when I intentionally cast on shore and hop it into the water). Another is the knee jerk instinct to set the hook following a blowup rather than waiting to feel the load (I've even tried closing my eyes on the retrieve but the sound still triggers the hook set reaction). Patrick Sebile claims an 80% hookup ratio in testing, the mailman just delivered the new frog so hopefully I'll have an update later tonight.
