Don't forget to treat your gear with it. Ticks can hitchike home with you on your pack, fishing vest, camera bag, softside tackle box, etc. It happened to me. I treated my clothing with permethrin, my skin with DEET then I came home and threw my clolthing in the dryer just in case, took a shower and checked my body for ticks. I was good. That night I fell asleep on the couch while reading. The next morning I woke up with a tick imbedded in my chest.

How the hell did that happen? Then I remembered throwing my backpack on the couch when I arrived home. I moved it out of the way to lay down on the couch. Apparently the tick rode in on my backpack, then jumped off onto the couch and was waiting for me.
