The two pictures you posted are good proof of just how different the same fish relative to size can look based on the person holding it, lighting, depth, angle etc. If not for your comments, I would have guessed the fish in the picture with your nephew holding it was twice the size of the one you're holding and not the same fish. Curious what causes the tails of these big breeders to get so banged up? is it the time they spend in the holding tanks or are their tails clipped? Beautiful fish, some nice colors in the shot with you holding the big girl!
