Default Slow bass bite today

We had Kevin and his daughter Gabbi from Stroudsburg PA out for an afternoon bass trip. We hoped to find birds and jig but that wasn't happening so we threw the shad rigs out and game on. We went 3 for 5 in the first hour of trolling than it went dead for hours. A move into the bay found birds diving so we threw jigs and shads out only to be outrun by the fish. So out went the rigs and back to the troll. Gabbi found out the hard way that the birds were on gator blues when she caught three behemoth blues on a shad rig. 60 lbs of bluefish she caught at once. We changed to hard baits and couldn't keep them in the water landing giant blues. One more bass came aboard on the spoon. At dark we threw out Danny plugs and lost a bass and caught a blue. Waited for incoming water and called it a night.
