Default Weekend Report (Muskie, trout, stripers): 10/29/16 - 10/30/16

Saturday 10/29/16:

Chrisper and I headed out on Saturday with a multi-species plan: muskies and trout.

The muskies were up first. After fishing a little while, Chrisper had a follow. Not long after, he hooked up, but unfortunately the hook pulled quickly into the fight. We settled back in to the casting routine, when all of a sudden I get slammed. After a short fight, and an expert net job by Chrisper, I had the nice muskie in my hands. After a quick picture, the fish was released after thoroughly soaking both of us.

After a quick lunch, we headed to one of our trout spots. The action wasn't red hot, but we ended up picking a few wild browns. Had a very nice brown hooked up, but he threw the hook after a couple of headshakes.

Sunday 10/30/16:

Jumped on the Joey Tomatoes with my friend Aaron for some evening striper fishing. Ended up getting on the fish, and the bite was red hot for big 30+lb bass. Tons of bunker, whales and the fish finder lit up with stripers. Cut the trip short due to the approaching weather, and got back to dock 10 minutes before the storm hit. This big girl was released after a quick picture.
