I do one of two things, one I'm not going to mention because the peanut gallery will jump down my throat.

The other thing....is if you're using them for hybrids...the amount of actual chicken liver you need on a hook to catch them is miniscule. Just go with a #6 hook, and use a piece of chicken liver no bigger than a dime or nickel. Not only will the small piece not fly off the hook, but you'll get better hook-up rates too.

The first time I tried them we only brought one container, and by the end of the night we were scraping every last thing in the juice and no joke catching fish on pieces no bigger than a booger.
