Thumbs up Porgy...Triggers ...Blues!

Headed down to the SB Rocks today with the intention of catching my first Trigger fish. Saw a pod of dolphins off the ammo pier. There had to be at least 20 of them. I guess they wanted some peanuts! Lot's of bird action on the way to the rocks and loaded up on 1lb sized blues. Finally got to the rocks and conditions where good to drift so hit some #'s and started catching Porgy's very steady and only keeping the nice sized ones. Started to use some larger sized pieces of clam hopping to get a blackfish or trigger then bam... hooked onto a trigger fish...my first ever. Let me tell you these fish really fight. Wind started to pick up and we decided to call it a day. Plenty of fish caught and sure beat drifting around for fluke and catching only a few if any! Tight lines!
