Start by coming out to the meet and greets! Pike, Hybrid, Trout, Salmon, Ice meet and greets, etc., they are all a good time and an opportunity to meet the faces behind the screenname. Every NJF meet and greet I've attended has been filled with laughs, home-cooked food, a couple drinks, lots of advice/info sharing, and even managing some fish (except Monks Ice meet and greet
).
I've got to say, last fall's Hybrid meet and greet was probably the best. Lots of familiar faces as well as some new ones. Lots of guys scouting the big lake until we found the fish. A couple phone calls later, everyone was congregated around the same area and everyone caught fish.
