Default Grinding out some after-work bass

I hit two local ponds the past two days after work to see if I could find some biters. Both evenings the bite was slow, I scratched out five small bass over two days, with none even close to a pound. Each fish came on a different lure, and I was not able to put any kind of pattern together. Topwaters got me the most hits, but they were lazy and most fish weren't hooking up. Nothing beats wetting a line after a long work day, though, so I'll never complain about a lack of action.
