So after seeing a 10:20 showing of Star Trek: Beyond and having lunch with a lady friend, I hit a nearby by lake and action was good from the get go. Got poured on once for about 10 minutes but otherwise perfect weather. In 2 hrs landed 9 largies and 7 chainsides. Missed a dozen others and lost two buzzbaits on pads. Nothing huge but some solid 14-17" fish. Actually heard a tree crack and then saw it fall. Apparently they do make noise if your around to hear them. lol. Good sized dead one of about 50 feet. Bit scary knowing I was right next to it about 20 minutes before. No wind. It just fell. Weird....
