Yeah Eddie me n my son are Big D nuts like you!!! We live about 15 min from river so we fish it 2-3 times a week. When we catfish we fish big chunk baits and live panfish. You don't get as many hits but the hits you do get are all quality fish!! It's amazing how those small mouths inhale those rockbass and sunnies. We've already caught a couple they didn't even get hooked, sunnie was just lodged in there mouth n the couldn't spit it back out
Can't wait to get out of work and fish it tonight with this overcast rainy day...should be awesome ton. Plus all weekend warriors and tourist go home on Sunday and the river is nice and peaceful and we usual have it to ourselves.
