A park employee told me this weekend that they closed the "beach" swimming area for the summer because the water levels have fallen below 70% and there is no chance of them increasing it this year.
The good news is you really don't need the boat ramp. People launch from the sloped bank just fine.
My concern is more for the little fishies. Aren't the fish born this spring and the fish that are stocked small a lot more likely to survive if there are shallow water areas?
