Re: Tremendous Yellowfin-Bluefin tuna fishing at multiple locations all inshore
The chunk bite down at the Lumpy Bottom and Parking Lot south of Ocean City, MD slowed down some yesterday as did the bite 40 miles off Cape May. Boats I know had 9 or 10 Yellowfin tuna bites but down from 15-20 a few days ago. I am heading out in a few minutes to the inshore tuna grounds and expect the tuna bite to pick up again when the wind turns to the SE later today. Friends that have go fast center consoles are leaving South Jersey ports around 1:00-2:00 pm and slamming the tuna after the fleet leaves in the afternoon and back at their docks before the sun goes down. Not bad inshore tuna fishing with again some Bluefins pushing 90 lbs and almost all the Yellowfins in the 40-50 lb class. If you prefer jigging this is a great time to get out tuna fishing from South Jersey.
