While the fleet is out in the Reach Channel muddy bottom and all and some catching up limits of Fluke I have stayed away from the crowd by fishing close to shore and it has been paying off. We don't always "limit out" and our biggest fish was maybe 6 lbs but we fish in almost lake like conditions without another boat in our area. The deepest we have been fishing is maybe 20 ft and the fish are there. Real good action and keeper ratio maybe 7 to 1. So if you get tired of the traffic jam in the Reach look around in shallower water drop offs and you will be surprised what you might hook into. Tight lines!
