Default Last Couple Trips.....

Been working like mad lately but was able to get out a few times in the last 2 weeks. First trip was up to the old shed. Had a pretty calm sunny morning and put together a decent catch. Got a couple smallies, some perch, and a grand daddy rock bass. Pops had the catch of the day with a pretty long but skinny smallie! Recently spawned?? Also caught a gigantic Gill on a rapala. Thought it was a smallie the way it hit!! Then, when I got back to my car I had the pleasure of finding that some douche canoe backed into one of my taillights and smashed it! Thanks !!!!

A few days later we fixed the taillight and hit the river for a few hours. River was in good shape and we found some fish. Nothing sizeable but caught a few average fish each and they were aggressive. Best part is seeing carp going airborne left and right and the seeing the commotion of a large predator attacking some bait near by. We looked at each other at the same time and said, that's not a carp!! Couple casts later I got the one in the pic......

Last trip was a night shift I pulled at the P. I cheated though cause I was home by midnight, lol..... Went with cats in mind and tried 2 different supermarkets looking for da livers. Got skunked and had to settle for ballparks..... For the first hour tangled with a couple bullheads and two rather large, very feisty eels! Little later on I hooked up again and was thinking eel until the drag started peeling a bit. Landed a decent 4-5 pound channel. Followed it up with another slightly smaller one and called it a night........
