One note of caution use a hi quality ex strong lightweight treble in making this change .
I've also experimented with trolling lures by dumping trebles in favor of single assist hook selected on basis of lure size & species plug was to be used for on the troll. Noticed solid hookups & very few lost fish especially to jumps !
Did this many years ago when I chartered on Gt Lakes as well as ocean & one fish especially the offshore steelhead which we trolled about this time of season via PB & LC outfits seriously cut into my clients losses !!
Back in the 80's I was part of a group that brought Seaguar , Momoi , Yozuri &
Mega baits to market had a lot of expierance testing & developing all Mega Baits & some Yozuri plugs for east coast use , needless to say spent 100's of hours running all types plugs & rigging same !
Hey Cap't, would you say it's ok to dump the front treble when trolling at a place like round valley? Also do you live in PA now? Thanks
