rocky's,eyes and the president
meet up with icebadger last night up at lh around 7pm hoping to catch a few.
got to our spot around 7:30 and started casting.it did not take long before my
smithwick gets smashed.after a short fight and some great head shakes I land a nice fat 19" eyeball.start casting again and badger and I both hook up but this time its two nice rock bass{sweet water grouper}.must have been a school of them as we caught and missed a few more right away and then they were gone.i just get done switching up lures when we are joined by the president of the kneedeep club{my son}.the pres,badger and I are tossing the bull when I get smashed again.this time its a better fight with with crazy head shakes.i bring the fish in close and hit my head lamp and all you can see are these two big marble eyes glowing.we land the fish and tape it at 24.5 inches.
I fished till 10pm and left but badger and the pres fished on.was not to long after I left I get a call that the pres got a nice 6lb or so eye.some released some filleted but none wasted.was a good time with good peeps.might hit it again tonight.
