Default Re: Favorite combo for Mojos 16 oz

I'm fishing 30 pound class 7 foot Seeker rods and Avet LXs and 65 pound braid. The rods are probably a little too stiff for Bunkers spoons but I don't troll them that often, mostly Mojos and Stretches. I also use these same set ups for trolling
inshore school bluefin and Mahi so they serve many purposes.

Nice part of the Avets is the lever drag which allows you to keep just enough line tension to keep the lures from taking line unless you get a hook up then you just move the lever to to strike and you are on your preset drag.

Slick butts are a practically a must for trolling poles since it allows you to get the poles out of your rod holders easier. This becomes very important when you have a fish on and need to get the rod out of the holder.
