Default Lake Sysladobsis, Maine

Took a few day vacation with my father-in-law to his club's cabin in Maine on Lake Sysladobsis. We staying in a cabin only accessible by water with no electricity or running water. I fished topwater most of time, and ended up catching smallmouth and pickerel, two of the lake's main species. I took one large pickerel back to camp for dinner, and it was quite tasty (despite small bones). Fishing for both pickerel and smallmouth was great, and the lake has an abundance of rocky points and a few weedy bays.

On the last day, I told my father-in-law that we were going to catch some of the lake's landlocked salmon. While this time of year is not ideal, I figured we could find a few willing to eat. We got a late start, and headed down to the main lake basin. I put out a couple of spoons on some divers and began to troll. After about 20 minutes, I found an area of deep water and marked some fish and bait. We ended up pounding the area, and caught a couple of landlocked salmon, some smallmouth and a nice white perch. Unfortunately, with no electricity my phone died quickly and this fat smallmouth is the only picture of the trip. Ended up with smallmouth, pickerel, yellow perch, white perch and landlocked salmon for a few days of fishing.
