i don't know the area either, but most ponds should have, if nothing else, sunfish, are your worms getting ripped off the hook or are you having no signs of life at all? you can try ripping the worms into little pieces and putting them on smaller hooks. sunfish are pretty ravenous and should be pretty numerous near weed openings.
