FISH STIX - Sat thru Mon Reports
Hey Guys,
We took off this Saturday and Sunday. Originally supposed to do Mako Mania but the charter and I decided to bail last minute. So we went to the canyon on a friends boat. Changed it up a bit and fished that beautiful blue water. Went to the canyon that didn't have the crowd and it was tough fishing. Did have a big eye on but lost it and also had a few others come up but that's it. Grabbed a couple mahis. And on the way there the blue fins were everywhere. It was sick.
So back to fluke Monday. Robs charter of 6. Ugh, what a tough day. First couple stops caught a couple keepers each stop and some close shorts then NOTHING. Some threshers in the area so we snagged a bait and sent out the shark rod. No luck.... Fished all over. The bites slowed tremendously. Couldn't even really catch any shorts even. Really tough day overall. The guys and gal did fish hard all day and finished up with 6 keepers.
