If it's just the tip go to a store and have them put a new one on. 2-5 bucks. If it's more than a few inches putting a new tip will put the guide too close to the next one and change the action of the rod (stiffer) and may not work right for you but you never know. I had a new guide put on a few weeks ago because the line gudie came off, then last week I accidently tapped my father rod while casting and it broke right at the guide. I put a new one on because I only lost 1/2"
