Default 6/25 Seabass

With seabass season winding down, my father and i took my cousin out to the rough stuff out deep. Conditions were perfect, but we had a slow start trying to locate the fish. We picked and plucked but after a while we began to think 45 ft of water was to shallow. Once our drift speed completely deteriorated we ran to our favorite honey hole in 60-65 ft of water. For the next hour, we had drop and reel fishing with the best keeper ratio all year (6 shorts per 1 keeper). Caught a few cod and some short fluke as well. On the way back to keyport, all hell was breaking lose by the ammo pier. There was white water, bunker flying everywhere and we even saw some bass! Threw jigs, plugs, shads and caught blues blues and more blues. Awesome day with the family, can't complain with the loads of action.

RECAP: Full boat limit of seabass (45)
5 short fluke (all on clam, no love on gulp today)
4 codfish (1 24 inch keeper)
Drift produced all fish, 60-65 ft of water produced the best action
