Not quite lake front, I'm about a quarter mile from the lake, but when I was looking for a new place I wanted to be able to keep the boat, so apartments were out. I found a place where I was able to keep the boat, and was happy to learn that part of my rent goes toward membership fees. A nice bonus. No ramp on the lake and no motors allowed, not even electric, so I can't use the fishing boat, but the canoe does the job.
I'll miss Fayson, because even after the bass die out, there was still a great holdover trout fishery there, with a 5 pound brown or bow now and then, and the occasional wiper and walleye. The people in charge at Fayson do a good job of managing the fishery. They even throw in a handful of pike, but not enough to kill off everything else. The unfortunate choice a few years ago was putting in weed killer during a record heatwave, which decimated the bass for some reason.
