Cranberry Lake LMB's
Couldn't resist the overcast weekday, slid out of work at 3:00 PM, on the water at 5:00 PM, off at 8:30. Had the place nearly to myself, no power boats, no jet ski's. 5 species in all, white perch, yellow perch, rock bass, slime darts, and LMB. Trolled around looking for Mr. Pike, but not to be found. Fish caught were mostly dinks but the LMB were all better than 3 lbs. Got my first Double Hookup from a kayak, what a rush! Landed both LMB's by pulling the line in hand over hand as they had me tangled in seconds. And yes, the folks at Andover Hunt & Fish, super friendly, super helpful. I even bought a t-shirt, was only $4. Here are two of the better LMB's, one pic a little blurry. Most LMB's on shiners, the rest on keitech worm, 1/16 oz jighead. Water a little chilly which is good as I imagine that place heats up real fast.
