Hit a great BIG river spot after a long day of work that wasn't supposed to happen. Emergency calls, GRRRRRRRRRRR, love em and hate em! Made bait real quick and off to spot I haven't hit in years to see what was lurking. Started fishing around 530 and had immediate action jigging for Walleye. Caught 7 before a weird little front moved in and shut the bite down. Nothing huge, 2 @ 18 inches, 2 @ 15, 16 inches and 3 super shorts between 12-14 inches. Great action with some old school jigging tactics but once the first rain drop fell the bite totally shut down. Just goes to show how sensitive some fish are in changing weather patterns.

Had some big bait rods out as well while playing with the river Eyes. I was getting slammed left and right but the fish just weren't inhaling the over sized red breasted sunfish. Hahaha!!! 1 fish came tight so its all good. After peeling most of the line off my bait runner I landed a nice 7lb 11oz Channel that had a great big belly. What a battle on a light rod!!! The rain had been off and on for the last hour I was on the water so I just decided to leave on a positive note. Great day of fishing after a long day of work nonsense.
