Hit a Pocono lake for some bass & pick and it turned out to be a good choice. Spring bite is on for sure. Still no big bass but some decent ones. Pickerel r def in full on feed mode(see fat pick with sunny in its belly).They were busting the surface chasing shiners(not sure which kind: about 2" with a black stripe in large schools near surface). Pickerel numbers high but nothing over 16" and most around 14". I see this a lot in some lakes where too many pickerel exist. Only 6 bass but all decent between 14-17". All fish in the shallow coves either in the emerging pad fields or around the "wood". No spawning seen yet but I imagine it gets going by later this week.
