I don't believe in that one year to other year stuff all it has to with is conditions.
Wind against tide, too much wind to fast a drift & water temps all play a big thing. I did not do good with the numbers last year but what I did do good with was the size of the fish. Being with the right boat & Capt. helps as well. Last year it was a very cool summer a lot of north east winds not common for summer fishing. I think that's why the offshore Tuna was good because of it. I also remember seeing blue inshore water at a stretch in the early part of the season last year as well. I think this bad weather we had this winter is good for us. Less people fishing both recs & commercial boats tied to the docks is good.
Last year we had a lot of snow but fishing conditions were better for the boats that ventured offshore. So I'm positive for the comming year but let us all pray for the good conditions & good luck to all.
