Ryan, when buying multiple sets of reels I would suggest getting the same model reels. Yes they do come in different gear ratios dependent on your need. If your near Fairfield, NJ. Stop by Fairfield Fishing Tackle. They are very Knowledgeable in Bass Fishing if that is what you are doing. I would suggest looking at the Diawa, or Lew's line of reels. they will give you the best bang for your buck. Also when they need to be serviced they are easy to do.
